Christmas
Well, it's almost Christmas, although it won't seem like it until we get some snow. It's kind of hard for me to get as excited about Chritmas as I used to. I'm not sure if that happens to everyone as they get older, or if I'm just too busy to think about it. I really hope that it starts to snow soon. I love watching the snowflakes fall, since it makes everything seem so peaceful. It just fills my heart with happiness....

The Snow...
I am so excited about Christmas and the snow...I love the snow. There is something so peaceful and fulfilling about watching the white crystals fall to the ground. They make the world seem quiet and lonely in a beautiful way. It relaxes me to watch the snow swirling outside my window while I read a good book or just daydream. I have so many good memories that come to mind when those white crystals fall to earth. Snow is one of the most peaceful things I have ever seen.

Be Continually in Prayer
The Bible tells us that we should pray always. Some of us think that is a hard thing to achieve. I was just praying and realized that praying gives you a great feeling of peace. Whenever I take one of my worries to the Lord Jesus I seem to feel very relieved. When I read a passage from the Bible that tells me not to worry or that gives me a solution to my problem, I feel a great peace inside of me. I am so happy to have received the gift of Salvation and to be able to say that Jesus Loves Me! Being a Christian is such a wonderful blessing!
Attitude
I have recently realized that if your attitude is possitive then you will most likely be happier. If you respond to negative thoughts and negative situations with a positive thought or solution, you will be a lot more pleased with the outcome. Just having a more possitive outlook on your life will make things easier and more fun. You only have one life so try not to spend most of it being misserable.

The Leaves...
I really love the fall season! The leaves and their changing colours seem to stir a very peaceful and complete feeling in me. I love it when the sun shimmers on the pools of water that have collected in the fallen leaves and when the wind rustles the crunchy leaves beneath your feet. It just seems to be such a wonderful and happy time of year...or for me at least.
Jesus...
Deciding to be friends and have a relationship with Jesus Christ is one of the best decisions that a person can make. Jesus is the kind of friend that is there when nobody else can be, He cares about you even when you don't care about yourself, and He is the only friend that you will ever have who knows more about you than you know about yourself. Jesus Christ is an awesome and forgiving God who wants to keep in touch with you. Talking to Him doesn't have to be difficult, just speak to Him as you would any of your other friends. He cares about you, and He's there if you need Him.

Being Thankful
Today at school, the vice principle told my T.A. group a story about his stepbrother. His stepbrother was married with three children and working hard to suport his family. He was riding his bike home from work when a piece of wood got stuck in the spokes of his bike. Before he noticed the wood, he was launched forward and landed on his head. The fall paralyzed his whole body. He can only turn his head and chew his food. When the vice principle brought his brother to school for an inspirational talk, one student asked if the paralyzed man ever dreamed of walking again. The man simply replied by saying, "No, I never dream of walking again. I only dream of using one of my hands. If I could only move my hand I could feed myself and turn the pages of a book. If I could move just one hand, I would be happy."
When I heard this I couldn't believe how blessed I am. I can walk, move my hands, and run. I definitely have nothing to complain about.

Thanksgiving!
I really enjoy thanksgiving because it is a very cozy holiday. It's such a happy time of year, with families celebrating all the things that they are grateful for. My family always has a big gathering on Thanksgiving and it reminds me of the many people I am proud to have in my life. I brought by boyfriend this year and everything was so much more meaningful to me since he is now a part of my family too. Unfortunately, there are also some who aren't as blessed on Thanksgiving. Those who are struggling just to save enough money to pay their rent, or some who wish they had a cleaner and healthier place to live. Even though there are many people who have no other familiy members near them, or at all, they should always remember that Jesus loves them and that he is very thankful for them this Thanksgiving.

I hate it when I get so frustrated with the situations in my life, only to realize later that the fuss and problems that occured, were all my fault. I don't really mean to be this way, but I seem to express my feelings in all the wrong ways...I really do love all of the people in my life especially my fiance and my parents, but I haven't seemed to conquer my inability to be cheerful even in the most unhappy of times. I am striving and working towards being a possitive and happy person for those around me, and in doing so I know that I will be content myself. I only want to please those that I love and to show them that they mean everything to me. I want to be able to help those around me, but first I must help myself.

God's Gift
God gave us our lives so that we could enjoy them innocently. We shouldn't worry about tomorrow, because today will have enough of its own challenges. So don't waste your day with unhappiness and stress, but rather enjoy it. Cuz you never know when something serious will need to be dealt with.

Be Happy!!!
Wednesday, June 20, 2007
Everyone has to deal with sadness or hate of some kind. Feeling sorry for yourself won't end up helping anyone in the end, so why not channel all of your negative emotions into making a difference of events. Save all of the emotions that well inside of you and exchange them for kindness and a want to help others. If we all reacted this way, imagine what we could do.

I think that no matter how much older I get and how much more I learn, I will always remember the inmportant things. Like the times I daydreamed, all the times I said a prayer of thanks for the good things in my life, and all the times I cried with Jesus; just because His glory and love overwhelmed me so much. The things that matter don't always have to be seen by others but can be shared with the one who sees every bit of you for who you truly are.

Life or Death
Being a good person doesn't mean you have to do something extravagant or that you have to be popular. All of the people that say they admire you could betray you at any moment and all the things you have achieved could be forgotten in a second. But the person you are deep down, and the Spirit that keeps you going each day are the things that matter. Being a kind and loving person are the attributes that make a difference in the end. Whether or not you are a child of God will be the only thing that really matters when your life is no more. So what will you choose? Things that will only last for a small droplet of your lifetime, or things that will eventually determine life or death after you are on the earth no more. Where you go at the end of your life is totally up to you...

Your Heart
Your Heart is the treasure chest that all your emotions stem from. Every peaceful moment you enjoy, every happy day you experience, and every faithful friend you talk to are times in which your true self will shine through. Fill your heart with happiness and peace, and give some to those who haven't yet found the amazing source of contentment they have the ability to possess.

I Can Relate
Sometimes This is how I feel...
~Flower child
I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it that you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

I'll never win
Don't you hate it when you know that the only person that can make you feel better, is the one who made you cry in the first place. Sometimes my heart just bleeds from being let down. Too many things are always seeming to pierce me. The wounds seem too deep to heal and my trust is slowly fading away. My tears can't even douce the fire that I feel welling up in the deepest part of my soul. I am carrying a burden that is too heavy for me. I am losing...and the saddest part is that I don't think I'll ever win.

Understood
There are many times when I feel small and lonely in such a huge world. Times when I feel as if somebody will always surpass my achievements. Many days I feel like no matter how many things I get done I will always forget something. My effort isn't enough or my help isn't appreciated. Even though I water and feed my deepest desires they never get enough sun. And all the while I only want to be understood...

Music and Emotions
It's funny how music can convey so much emotion. Just hearing a familiar melody can take you back in time to a gorgeous event of the past. A faded or blurry memory can be cleared as your music relives the emotion you remember. It is a familiar emotion, yet distant. The mysterious part of the memory makes it even more interesting. The dusty figures that you once saw are brought to life as the music wraps its colourful life around them. It is a beautiful and peaceful feeling.

Why Do Women Cry?
Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom? "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will, but that's O.K."....... Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?". "All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say...... The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked "God, why do women cry so easily?" GOD answered...... "When I made woman, I decided she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet, made her arms gentle enough to give comfort... I gave her the inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times will come even from her own children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going and take care of her family and friends, even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without complaining.... I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly.... She has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears.... I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.... I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.... For all of this hard work, I also gave her a tear to shed. It is hers to use whenever needed and ! it is her only weakness.... When you see her cry, tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.

Dreams
Dreams are actually quite important. Life's twists and turns take us where they want to, but we still need to tell our hearts what we really want. Thinking and building on your dreams helps you to create them into something better and better. Slowly, they will become bigger and one day they will bloom into something so beautiful, you may think it impossible. Keep nurturing and feeding the desires of you heart and they will eventually become the reality that you live everyday.

Memories
Memories are like pictures in our wallet...except no matter what happens we won't lose them. They remind us of good and bad times come and gone, or a special person that you just can't forget. Sometimes we will just sit and think about memories. We might cry because remembering them is just too painful. Or we might smile because they are the only thing that keeps us together. Certain places might bring back memories of wonderful times that we have enjoyed. Just thinking about them might make you long to be there again and just see that beautiful place one more time. But don't worry. Even though these thoughts can't be re-acted and you can't go back, you will always be making new memories which you might later look upon and wishto relive.

The Beauty Of Life
Sometimes it seems like you just want to yell and scream at life because it doesn't want to cooperate with you. You might think that any beauty that you saw has dissappeared and you are left all alone in the dark. But the beauty of everyday life doesn't have to be something big. Winning the lottery or having a nice car aren't the things that will bring true happiness into your heart. Any material thing that you have could be taken away from you. When life throws you a sharp turn and you lose things like these, you gain the ability to see the beauty of things that can't be bought. Love and being truly content are feelings that can't be replaced. The natural beauty of nature isn't something that should be taken for granted. The peace that things like these will bring you means more than anything money can buy you.

Move Along
Wishing things to be a different way than they are is something that will never complete your life. It will break you down and blind you to the beauty of the life around you. Accepting touch realities hurts you but pressing on and forgetting the past can be necessary. The love you have for the future or for certain people will drown out any hurt that is left. True love never fails either. Don't let the past change the way you see this virtue. View your life as a movie in which every part of it is needed to make the final outcome as beautiful as it is. Move along. Knowing that with love, your life will always be complete.

Encouraging...
"...we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."
~Paul Bowles
"You will never be happy of you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life."

What's Meaningful in Life...
Life is so much more than the complicated and stressful situations that you'll face. It is about enjoying and finding the value in every small blessing that you have. Finding the beauty in nature during the different seasons is one of my favourite ways to stay grateful. Watching sunlight reflect off the glassy ripples of water. Or the serenity of snowflakes dancing past your window. Beautiful leaves that flutter from the tops of trees and the rythm of rain plumetting to the ground. It's in moments like these where you will realize the beauty of this world...and how strong and powerful the God is who created it all.

Fight Back
Life is about experiencing all the good and bad times. When something unfortunate comes up, that's our chance to fight back with everything we have. Don't just sit on the sidelines and worry about things...but find a solution to act upon instead. Prove yourself worthy of this life we have been blessed with. Enjoy it and defend it.
